LOST BUT FOUND: The Lord is the way
“Despite sa mga kalokohan na nagawa at kasamaan ko, even kahit galit ako sa Kanya before, hinding-hindi N’ya ako pinabayaan at iniwan, SOBRA N’YA PARIN AKONG MINAHAL… LAHAT NAGBAGO!”
At 2nd
year high school, Dhel, was a devoted believer of Satan. The downward spiral of
his life started when he prayed to God for the healing of his sister but she
instead died. He cursed God from that day on and treated His words as mere joke.
He was also molested by his own relative at an early age and every time he is
about to tell the incident to his parents, he was being threatened. He also
tried to commit suicide due to bullying multiple times but always ended as a failed
attempt and at his junior and senior year was drawn to pornography.
Apart from
all of those, there was one thing that made him fled away from his home, “Noong
August 2014, muntik na akong patayin ng taong ni sa hinuha ko ko ay ‘di nya
kayang gawin sakin,” pertaining to his father who has beaten him up to death.
He then fled
to Malolos without anything. He said that he didn’t expect that he would come
to a point eating spoiled or expired food just to be able to last a day, which
led him again to committing suicide but still, failed attempts.
Until a
friend invited him to attend church, and thinking that there might be food, he
agreed, though attending a service didn’t change him that easily. Until
September of 2014 came and there he accepted God as his Lord and Savior, he
shared;
“Well, LAHAT NAGBAGO! Yung pananaw ko sa buhay, yung paniniwala ko, yung LOVE na nadarama ko — as in EVERYTHING nagbago. DAHIL KAY JESUS”
He truly is
a living testimony of his life verse, Matthew 16:24-25, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and
take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall
lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.”
