Holy Week for everyone not for anyone

By Marisol Gaspar and Jasmine Rivera

Holy Week is the time where Christians recalls God's goodness in sending His Son to die for human’s salvation. Christ, who died on Good Friday in reparation for the sins of mankind, and rose on Easter Sunday to give new life to those who belief.

Here might be some of a few points that may help you in building a strong relationship with God:

·         Desire intimacy with God.
One have to admit that he needs a Savior and might have already been accepted Jesus as his Lord. Though, whether we realize it or not, at times our fire to know Him better falters. We should have first the desire, the desperation to know God even more every day.

·         Talk to Him
One of the greatest gifts God has given you is prayer. People can pray and ask for help 24/7. In Psalms 51, the psalmist was so desperate that he prayed.

·         Be close to the Holy Book
Faith comes from knowing God first-hand. To be able to intimately know God, one must know His words for He is also the word. It was said in John 1:1

·         Meditate the Word
It is not enough to simply read the Bible, close it and then go back to a certain lifestyle. There is a power in the word of God and is indeed at work for those who believe.
·         Be with People of Faith
In growing in faith, it is crucial not to be alone. Gathered with friends, pondering upon the book, sharing insights and giving pieces of advice yield to greater spiritual growth but as long as you group yourselves with his presence, God will be there.
·         Assemble Yourself
As you set Jesus as your Lord, knowing his words and being close to him and his                 sons. Make your reflections this is the special time for you and God, being intimately                       close to him. Realizing what he bought for you and be an inspiration to others.
       ·                   Extend Your Hand to others and Win a Soul
Share your time and blessings with others. It’s actually a privilege to create                                  memories with others especially when you can make them happy, and in a way, walking                the talk --- being immitators of Christ. And through this, being able to win a soul for God.                Hebrews 13:16
                    ·         Praise Him
Do not forget to thank God, especiallly this holy week for it iss about the                                         commemoration of His sacrifice to save mankind. Thank Him not just because of this                      reason but for your own reasons. Praise him as what he gives you even in unfavorable                    instances that you encounter and defeated of. Thessalonian 5:18

These tips on how to spend time with God are not just for Holy Week but a daily practice, a lifestyle one can  used in everyday lives to maintain strong relationship with God and growbeven more deeper in God. It might have been repetative, bit time and again, let us not forget the real essence of the Holy week, John 3:16, for God so loved the world, that he gave his begotten only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
