ANOTHER POST FOR 'SYMPATHY'

By Reya Ceanne Buenaventura

It seemed to be like a viral thing nowadays to post something that will catch people’s sympathy over someone else.

And this is not different from them, as a facebook post from a page, “Tambayan ni Berto Worldwide”, catches a number of people once again from their post.

It is not like the page only posts stuff like this, it is not on a regular basis and it seems like the page also monitors what it releases to the public and not.

This time was a story of a mother, Vicenta Ranin, 36 years of age from Brgy. Barugohay Sur Carigara, Leyte. Ranin was captured by a resident on the way home named Regie-Lin Clariza Liba.

Ranin, together with her two kids were found sitting in a bench surrounding a tree (as seen in the picture), but what captured Liba’s eyes was the five months old child suffering from cystic fibrosis (sisto in Filipino), a life-threatening hereditary disease, while being clothed by Ranin.

It was not however seen in the picture, the father of the family, but according to Liba, he goes with the name, Antony Lunghas Jr.

The post was mainly asking for help with regards to the baby, which now garnered 1,525 shares, 459 reactions and a few heart breaking comments, in just a span of six hours.

Some of the comments are as below which included prayers the most.

As it is known now, that a post can change a lot of things in a person’s life, and seeing how social media can change someone else’ lifestyle was what pushed Liba in the call he made.
